Playmaker AI ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Clarkstone Ventures. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users ("you" or "your"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use our web application and services at playmakerai.io (the "Service").
By using Playmaker AI, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile information through our authentication provider (Manus OAuth). This information is necessary to provide you with access to the Service.
2.2 Athlete Profile Data
You may voluntarily provide athletic profile information including your sport, position, academic details, statistics, highlight video links, and recruiting preferences. This information is used to build your recruiting profile and facilitate outreach to college coaches.
2.3 Coach and School Data
The Service allows you to research and store information about college coaches and schools, including publicly available contact information, for the purpose of recruiting outreach. This data is sourced from publicly available directories and your own research.
2.4 Usage Data
We automatically collect certain information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, and engagement metrics. This helps us improve the Service and provide you with relevant insights.
2.5 Payment Information
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number, CVV, or expiration date. We only retain a Stripe customer identifier and transaction references necessary to manage your subscription.
3. Google User Data — Gmail Integration
Playmaker AI offers an optional Gmail integration that allows you to send recruiting emails to college coaches directly from your own Gmail account and track replies. This section specifically describes how we handle data obtained through Google APIs.
3.1 What Google Data We Access
When you connect your Gmail account, we request access to the following scopes:
- Gmail Send (gmail.send) — To send recruiting emails to college coaches on your behalf, using your real email address.
- Gmail Read-Only (gmail.readonly) — To monitor for replies from coaches so we can update your recruiting pipeline and notify you of coach engagement.
- User Email (userinfo.email) — To identify which Gmail account is connected and display it in your settings.
3.2 How We Use Google Data
Google user data is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- Sending recruiting emails that you compose or approve through the Playmaker AI outreach system.
- Checking for replies from coaches you have contacted, to update your pipeline status and engagement tracking.
- Displaying your connected email address in the Settings page.
We do not use Google user data for advertising, market research, or any purpose unrelated to the core recruiting functionality described above.
3.3 How We Store Google Data
We store your Gmail OAuth access token and refresh token in our secure database, encrypted at rest. These tokens are used solely to maintain your Gmail connection and send/read emails on your behalf. We do not store the content of your emails, attachments, or any other Gmail data beyond what is necessary to track coach reply status (e.g., whether a reply was received, timestamp, and sender).
3.4 How We Share Google Data
We do not share, sell, rent, or transfer Google user data to any third parties, except:
- When required by law, regulation, or legal process.
- To protect the rights, safety, or property of Playmaker AI, our users, or the public.
3.5 Revoking Access
You can disconnect your Gmail account at any time from the Settings page within Playmaker AI. Upon disconnection, we immediately delete your stored OAuth tokens. You can also revoke access directly from your Google Account permissions page.
3.6 Compliance
Playmaker AI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To build and manage your athlete recruiting profile.
- To facilitate email outreach to college coaches.
- To track coach engagement and update your recruiting pipeline.
- To generate AI-powered recruiting game plans and recommendations.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To send you important service-related communications.
- To provide customer support.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted storage for sensitive credentials (OAuth tokens), and secure authentication practices. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and profile data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes. Gmail OAuth tokens are deleted immediately upon disconnection of your Gmail account.
7. Third-Party Services
Playmaker AI integrates with the following third-party services:
- Google Gmail API — For sending and reading emails (as described in Section 3).
- Stripe — For payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of your payment data.
- Manus OAuth — For authentication and account management.
Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their policies.
8. Children's Privacy
Playmaker AI is designed for use by student-athletes and their families. Users under the age of 13 must have a parent or guardian create and manage their account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13 without proper consent, please contact us immediately.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- Deletion — Request deletion of your personal data and account.
- Data Portability — Request your data in a portable format.
- Revoke Consent — Withdraw consent for specific data processing (e.g., disconnect Gmail).
